9/11: Ralph’s story

As our coverage of the tenth anniversary of 9/11 continues, we bring you the story of one of the 24 Canadian casualties of the attacks.

Ralph Gerhardt was a 34 year old vice-president at Cantor Fitzgerald, and worked on the 105th floor of the World Trade Center tower 1. And while he was able to call his family in Waterdown after the first plane hit, it was the last time they would ever speak to him.
Nick Dixon met with Gerhardt’s father to talk about that day, and the decade in between.
