87-year-old woman dead after collision in Ancaster

An 87-year-old woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Ancaster Tuesday evening.
Hamilton Police say the collision happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Golf Links Rd. and Stone Church Rd.
Police say the elderly woman was pronounced dead on scene after the vehicle she was riding in attempted to make a left turn onto Golf Links Rd. and was t-boned.
A man driving the vehicle making the left turn was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Officers say the driver of the other vehicle did not receive any physical injuries and remained on scene to cooperate with police.

OPP GTA Traffic reported road closures as a result of the collision, with both eastbound and westbound off-ramps to Lincoln M. Alexander Pkwy./Mohawk Rd. closed at 7:15 p.m.
The ramp closures around Hwy. 403 and Lincoln M. Alexander Pkwy./Mohawk Rd. were not completely open until shortly after 2 a.m.
Hamilton police’s collision reconstruction unit is investigating.
