75th Anniversary of the Dieppe Raid

August 19th marks 75 years since the bloodiest single day for Canada’s military in the entire Second World War.
917 Canadians were killed in the raid in Dieppe, France, 197 of them were from the Hamilton Light Infantry. A steep price to pay for valuable lessons that would later help the troops on D-Day.
Elizabeth Hall spoke with one of the last remaining veterans who was at the raid in Dieppe.
