7-Eleven in Ontario ready to sell booze

Ontario residents are questioning Doug Ford’s priorities after his party recently approved a plan to allow 7-Eleven locations to sell alcohol but to also allow people to drink while in a store starting September.
The Premier faced criticism earlier this summer as his party unveiled a new government website that featured an interactive map for finding alcohol while LCBO workers were on strike.
Leader of the Green Party of Ontario Mike Schreiner mocked the plan, saying the Premier’s obsession with alcohol sales is frustrating the 2.5 million Ontarians without a primary healthcare doctor.
Liberal party leader Bonnie Crombie chimed in saying Ford and his party was wasting a billion dollars of taxpayer money to appease the American-based store chain while adding, “just more proof he’s not in it for you.”
