Four people have been charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation that led to the recovery of over $137,000 worth of illegal drugs in Brantford.

The investigation, dubbed Project White Rhino, was launched back in August to target the trafficking of drugs in the city.

Last Thursday, three search warrants were granted and executed at locations on Paris Road, Seneca Crescent and Banks Street.

As a result of those search warrants, police were able to recover cannabis edibles, cannabis in the form of hash, cannabis in the form of bus, psilocybin, suspected methamphetamine, Canadian currency, multiple cell phones and a large quantity of packaging materials.

Collectively, the illicit drugs are estimated to have a street value of $137,190.

Four residents of Brantford have been arrested and charged with “numerous” charges under the Cannabis Act and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Investigators have not released any further details on the four accused.
