39-year-old charged after barricading themselves in Paris, Ont. home: OPP
A 39-year-old from Paris has been charged after barricading themselves in a home overnight after the incident forced a road closed into Thursday morning.
Police say they received reports of a disturbance at the home on Grand River Street North around 7:30 p.m.
Though the individual initially refused to exit the home, they were eventually taken into police custody and taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
OPP say the accused remains in custody facing unspecified criminal charges.
Grand River Street North remained closed from William Street to Dumfries Street during the incident, but has since reopened.
This is an ongoing investigation and further details are expected to be released by detectives as the situation develops.
