34-year-old woman dies after crash in Waterdown

A single-vehicle crash in Waterdown has claimed the life of a 34-year-old woman.
Police say they received a call shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday that a car had left the roadway and struck a tree near Concession 5 East.
When they arrived, they located a 2023 Dodge Durango that had just been involved in a crash.
The driver of the vehicle was found with severe injuries and taken to hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
“This is the City’s fifth traffic fatality of 2024,” police said in an update.
Hamilton police say that their reconstruction unit is investigating the incident and has asked for dashcam footage or information from anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash.
Concession 5 East was closed for several hours but has since re-opened.
