32-year-old driver dead after losing control, hitting tree in Milton

Halton police say a 32-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle collision Tuesday night in Milton.

It happened shortly after 9 p.m. when the Mississauga resident was driving his BMW SUV northbound on 4th Line, south of Britannia Rd.

Officers said he lost control of the SUV, left the roadway and then struck a tree.

The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is now investigating.

Fourth Line south of Britannia Rd. was closed for about five hours for an investigation.
