31-year-old Niagara man facing weapon charges following arrest with BB gun

A Niagara man is facing several charges after he was found to be conceal-carrying a loaded pellet gun during his arrest.
Authorities say they were called to a disturbance on Stanley Avenue near Ferry Street around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
When they arrived, they arrested Jessie Neto De Oliveira, a 31-year-old from Niagara Falls who had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for a previously scheduled fingerprinting.
Upon his arrest, police found a replica firearm concealed on his person, as well a hatchet.
Authorities say the replica firearm was actually a loaded pellet gun that was designed to look like a Sig Saur P226.
No one was injured during the incident, but Neto De Oliveira is now facing two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of carrying a concealed weapon and a breach of a probation order.
Neto De Oliveira was held in custody and is expected to have a bail hearing at a St. Catharines courthouse March 28.
