3 people charged after weapons, drugs and money found in car

Norfolk County OPP have arrested and charged three people in Simcoe after a traffic stop led to the seizure of fentanyl and cash.

Police say a car on Young St. in Simcoe caught the attention of officers at approximately 10:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The driver and two passengers were taken into custody without incident.

After a search of the vehicle, officers seized fentanyl, cash and weapons.

 

Police charged 45-year-old Michelle Gilbertson of Norfolk County with failure to comply with release order, 26-year-old Jasmin Olivia Orde of Norfolk County with possession of fentanyl and failure to comply with release order and 34-year-old Jacob Heinrichs of Norfolk County with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, two counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, unauthorized possession of a weapon and four counts of failure to comply with probation order.
