Three men who were reported missing after rafting on the Grand River have been found safe.

Brantford police say four men entered the river in Paris around 3 p.m. Sunday.

They say one of the men docked at Brant Park in Brantford but the other three never made it.

Officers began searching along the waterway around midnight Monday.

Investigators say the men were located “safe and sound” after spending the night in the forest.

“The three were rafting yesterday when they had equipment issues with their raft. They attempted to find their way but got lost in the forested area along the river,” said Cst. Shane Seibert, Brantford Police Service. “They decided to stay the night and safely found their way out of the forest this morning.”

Police say all three men are in good health and no injuries were reported.
