3 fun things to do on Labour Day around Hamilton

There are an endless number of fun things to do on Labour Day today. But here are just a few events to attend around Hamilton.
Labour Day Parade
Hamilton and District Labour Council is hosting an in-person parade and picnic today. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Bay St. North and Stuart St. The community is then invited to a picnic at Bayfront Park from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be brief speeches, a BBQ, activities for children and live music.

Labour Day Classic
The annual Labour Day Classic between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts will kick off at 1 p.m. at Tim Hortons Field.
If you managed to get tickets for this sold-out football game, there are plenty of public transit options to get you there. Free express shuttles are operating from Lime Ridge Mall, Eastgate Square and University Plaza to Tim Hortons Field. The HSR is also free two hours before kickoff for people with a valid game ticket.

Canada’s Largest Ribfest
Today is the final day of Canada’s Largest Ribfest at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington. There will be 16 award-winning rib joints and live music. The festival is happening today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ribfest is a fundraising initiative of Rotary Burlington Lakeshore and all proceeds go to charity.
