Hamilton’s athletes, teams and coaches are being celebrated for their accomplishments Monday morning at the 25th annual Breakfast of Champions.
The event starts at 8 a.m. and there are expected to be around 500 local athletes and VIP guests in attendance.
The event is hosted by former Hamilton Tiger-Cat Pete Dyakowski once again.
The keynote speaker this year is Kevin Rempel, a 2013 sledge hockey world champion and 2014 Sochi Paralympic bronze medalist.

Monday’s event recognizes the accomplishments of those who competed at the provincial, national and international levels – all while representing Hamilton.
One athlete being recognized is Hunter Buesink, who is only getting a high performance award, but is a World Ninja Athlete Games champion.
Some of the awards are for excellence, perseverance and youth leadership.
