21-year-old Ancaster resident facing stunt driving charges

A 21-year-old Ancaster resident is facing stunt driving charges after they were caught allegedly travelling at more than double the speed limit in Brant County.

An officer with the Brant County OPP was doing radar enforcement on Colborne Street when a driver was spotted doing 162 km/hr in a 80 km/hr zone.

The driver was stopped and as a result a 21-year-old resident of Ancaster is facing charges for speeding 50+ km/hr over the posted speed limit, stunt driving, and failure to have an insurance card.

Police did not release the name of the accused or specify whether they are a man or woman.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Brantford on April 16.
