2 dead following multi-vehicle collision in Middlesex that sent 10 to hospital

An early morning, multi-vehicle crash in Middlesex Centre has sent 10 people to hospital.
Two of the 10 people who were hospitalized from the collision have been pronounced dead.
Police say that four of the people who were initially taken to hospital were transported in serious condition.
OPP have closed part of Highbury Avenue, between Ilderton Road and Ten Mile Road, while collision reconstruction teams investigate the incident.
Authorities were called out to the scene around 5:23 a.m. Tuesday for a call describing a “serious collision involving three passenger vehicles.”

“Unfortunately, two of them have since been pronounced deceased,” OPP Const. Jeff Hare said.
“A very unfortunate set of events. These are never easy. They’re not easy for first responders, and they are certainly not easy for the families that have been devastated this morning.”
