Ontario reported 195 new COVID-19 cases and three new deaths on Friday.

That’s well above the 103 new cases reported on Thursday, but not the highest count we’ve seen this week.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says 66 per cent of Friday’s new cases are people under the age of 40.

Here is how the numbers break down in our region according to provincial reporting.

Hamilton: 0 new cases

Brant County: 1 new case

Haldimand-Norfolk: 4 new cases

Halton: 3 new cases

Niagara: 1 new case

Across the province, Windsor-Essex had the most new cases with 57.

That’s followed by Toronto, Ottawa and Peel.

Of those health units, all but Ottawa remain in Stage 2.

There were 137 newly resolved cases.
