Hamilton Police are searching for two people in what they’re calling a targeted home invasion overnight.

Three people broke into a home on Gibson Ave. N., just north of King St. E  around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

According to police, one suspect was arrested after a foot chase.

“Officers were in our backyard and they were running up and down the street,” a next-door neighbour told CHCH News.

“Somebody was screaming call an ambulance, call an ambulance.”

Paramedics treated a 65 year old man for head injuries. Reports from the scene suggest he was hit with the end of a gun, but that hasn’t been confirmed by police.

Police are still searching for two people – a  man and a woman.

There are no descriptions at this time.
