Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a 12-year-old suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries as a result of a Gator Utility Vehicle (UV) rollover.

OPP say officers responded to the incident at a field located on private property near 4th Line in Oneida Township on June 9 at around 5:27 p.m.

Two 12-year-old children were riding the UV when it slid and rolled over, trapping one of the children underneath.

The child was transported to hospital and then airlifted by AirOrnge to an out-of-town hospital.

Police say the other 12-year-old was not injured.
