12-year-old boy charged for threatening group of kids with ‘edged weapon’

Ontario Provincial Police says a 12-year-old boy is facing a weapons-related charge following an incident in Norfolk County.

Police were called to Crosier St. in Delhi around 2:09 p.m. on March 18.

Investigators learned a group of kids were in Lions Park when they were approached by a youth who pulled out an edged weapon.

Police charged a 12-year-old boy with possession of weapon for dangerous purpose and uttering threats – cause death of bodily harm.

The youth is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
