Amber Alert issued

Mario Rodrigues has been accused of abduction, break and enter and two counts of assault after he allegedly forced his way into his four year old daughter’s Aurora home and took her without consent.

Julia Dela-Cruz was found safe and sound in the Pembroke area.

York Regional Police have issued an amber alert in relation to a parental abduction in Aurora.

Julia Dela-Cruz, was taken by her father, Mario Rodrigues around 4:30 this morning.

Julia is 4 years old and is described as 3’5″, thin build, and weighs 60 pounds. She was last seen wearing a green shirt and grey track pants. Mario is 46 years old and is described as 5’5″, weighing 160 pounds, with short dark hair, brown eyes and is clean shaven.

Mario was driving a silver 2008 Toyota Sienna van with an Ontario license plate BEZY781.

The van was last seen in Aurora travelling south. That was around three hours ago.
