1 man injured after shots fired into Stoney Creek home: police

One man was injured after shots were fired into his home on the Stoney Creek Mountain late Friday night.

Hamilton police were called to the area of Bradbury Road and Penny Lane shortly after 11 p.m.
for reports of shots having been fired into a home in the area.

The victim tells CHCH News that he was in his bedroom when a bullet came flying through the wall, went through his mattress and hit him in the arm.

He was taken to hospital to be treated for what officers described as a non-life threatening injury.

The man says he doesn’t know who fired the bullet from behind his house and that a two-year-old child had been lying on the bed before getting up from the spot just mere moments before the bullet hit.

Residents in the area are being asked to review any surveillance footage for suspicious activity between the hours of 11 p.m. and 12 a.m.
