One dead after fall at Oakville fire

One person has been confirmed dead after an early morning fire at an apartment building in Oakville on Wednesday.
Halton police responded to a fire reported at an apartment building located on Queen Mary Dr. around 5:40 a.m. where it has been reported someone fell from an upper floor building.
Officers have yet to confirm reports that the individual jumped from the building before being pronounced dead in hospital.

Details surrounding the identity of the deceased have not been released by police and there have been no other injuries reported at this time.
The fire department says that police are investigating the cause of the death and the Ontario Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate as well.
