Three lanes of the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge have reopened Monday to motorists and pedestrians following a months-long closure.
Public Services and Procurement Canada closed the 61-year-old bridge in early January for maintenance and upgrades.
The work included replacing the bridge deck grating and widening the pedestrian and cyclist pathways.

The maintenance coincided with the winter pause in the shipping season, meaning the bridge did not need to lift to allow vessels into the port in Hamilton Harbour.
The Burlington Canal Lift Bridge will be used this Sunday during the Around the Bay Road Race.
