Brantford police investigating shooting death of 20-year-old man

Brantford police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to a home on Diana Ave. just after midnight on Wednesday after receiving reports of a man with gunshot wounds.

A 20-year-old man was found in serious condition and was taken to a hospital trauma centre.

He died of his injuries in hospital.

Police are investigating the incident as a homicide. They say it’s early in the investigation but they don’t believe it’s a random incident.

They say officers will be on scene in the Diane Ave. area throughout the day.


Police are asking anyone who was in the area between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 12:30 a.m. Wednesday to contact them at 519-756-7050.
