Brant OPP recover stolen vehicle after arresting 2 London residents

Brant OPP have charged two London residents after responding to a reported stolen vehicle early Wednesday morning.

Investigators say the stolen vehicle was being tracked by GPS and officers were provided with updates on the location.

Police found the vehicle on Cockshutt Rd. when it fled the area.

The vehicle was later reported by a passerby at Brant Rd. and the vehicle was located once again, this time, resulting in an arrest.

Officers say a second person was arrested when they were later found sleeping inside a nearby residence after the owner arrived home.

Dayshona Karen Hill, 29, from London has been charged with possession property obtained by crime over $5,000, trespassing at night and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.

Craig Herman James Marche, 29, from London has been charged with break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence, fail to comply with probation order, possession property obtained by crime over $5,000 and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.

The accused are set to appear at a Brantford courthouse at a later date.

Police are continuing to investigate and anticipate further charges.
