Brant County man, 57, faces several charges after head-on collision

OPP have charged a 57-year-old man from Brant County after a head-on vehicle collision on Highway 24 near Oakland Rd. on Friday.

No injuries were reported, but upon arrival at around 8:30 p.m., police say a vehicle involved in the collision left the scene.

An OPP unit working in the area later noticed the vehicle where it failed to stop for police.

Shortly after, an officer from the Six Nations Police Service found the vehicle near the border of Brant County and Six Nations.

Police have arrested and charged 57-year-old Kenneth J. Spriet for five offences including operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, dangerous operation and failure to stop after accident.

The accused is scheduled to make an appearance in a Brantford courthouse at a later date.
