The Book of Life is a fantasy-adventure film directed by animator Jorge Gutierrez. The voice cast includes Channing Tatum, Zoe Saldana, Danny Trejo, Ron Perlman, Christina Applegate, Ice Cube, and Diego Luna as Manolo. From the official synopsis:

DreamWorks Animation had originally had the rights to the film, but because of creative differences they decided not to pursue it. Reel FX Animation Studios, who made the 2013 animated film Free Birds, picked it up and made it their next film with del Toro producing.
