HAPPENING NOW:

A fault in the brake callipers has prompted Nissan to recall more than 20-thousand Nissan and Infiniti S-U-Vs, including almost 900 in Canada.
The recall affects 2013 model Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti JX SUV’s. According to Nissan, part of the front brake caliper assembly – the brake torque member – was not cast properly, “which can lead to premature failure and cracking.” If that happens, “the brake caliper may move and contact the inside of the road wheel, resulting in reduced braking, increasing the risk of a crash.” Nissan Canada says owners will be notified in late April.
