Speculation Flaherty going to kick-start Ontario manufacturing

Federal finance minister Jim Flaherty is dropping hints that there could be some program spending in his budget tomorrow to stimulate the economy and job growth.

As is tradition, the day before we see the new budget, the finance minister gets a new pair of shoes. They are meant to act as a hint of what will come in tomorrow’s budget. Flaherty grabbed a pair of black leather oxfords made by well-known Canadian manufacturer Roots. The shoes were marked with the Canada Action Plan logo, and you can be pretty sure that Roots won’t be selling them to the public.
