Police investigate armed robbery at Stoney Creek convenience store

Hamilton police are investigating after two people wearing masks robbed a Stoney Creek convenience store at knifepoint.

Shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man and woman walked into the Fruitland Food Mart on Highway 8 armed with a knife.

After an interaction with the staff, the pair fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described as white, and was wearing dark clothing, a baseball hat, mask and gloves.

The woman is described as white, and was wearing a dark winter parka with fur around the hood, a black mask, gloves and black pants.
