Man stabbed at Main and Gage

***UPDATE***

Police have arrested 18 year old, Jacob Candon of Hamilton in connection with the incident.  Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of 19 year old Jovonn Joseph of Hamilton.

Joseph is wanted on multiple charges including aggravated assault and robbery.

An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was stabbed near Gage Park Sunday afternoon.

Police say emergency crews responded at 5 pm near the intersection of Main Street East and Gage Avenue.

The teen, who appeared to have been stabbed in the stomach, was taken to hospital but is expected to survive. The attacker fled the scene.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Hamilton Police or Crime Stoppers.
