Rope rescue at Webster’s Falls

A young man appears to be okay after falling at a popular Hamilton waterfall site.

It happened at Webster’s falls which is near the Dundas peak. Reports say a young man fell about 30 ft that’s roughly 9 metres. Several fire crews rushed to the scene to perform a rope rescue. Police were on site to help control the crowd, which was very large on this holiday Monday.

Eventually they pulled the young man to safety, he gave a thumbs up and the crowd cheered on rescuers. Although he appeared to be okay, he was taken to hospital and his exact injuries are unknown.
