HAPPENING NOW:

The federal government is giving U.S. Department store chain Target the green light to enter Canada.
Ottawa has approved Target’s decision to replace every Zellers store in the country.
But the stores must have a more Canadian feel.
The approval requires Target to invest $3.5 billion in its Canadian stores, which includes hiring up to 25,000 people by 2015.
Target will also be allowed to sell books, dvd’s magazines and music.
Target plans to open 125 to 135 stores in Canada, including about 49 in Ontario.
The majority of stores will open next year.
