Video added Fewer Canadians are dying from cancer according to a new report by the Canadian Cancer Society.

It says close to 100,000 lives have been saved in Canada over the past 20 years due to improved treatments for a variety of cancers.

However, the the most significant point is that lung cancer is killing fewer Canadians because many have stopped smoking.

Lung cancer is still the number-one cancer killer of men and women in Canada, claiming 37,000 lives each year.
