New research finds some similar gene patterns in young women with breast cancer.

Researchers have found cancers in women under 40 contain aggressive tumours that are likely to return after treatment.

They’ve traced several genes and gene patterns that were common in these young women, regardless of the size of the tumour or whether the disease had spread to the lymph nodes.

Experts are hopeful these findings will help lead to better treatments .
