HAPPENING NOW:

Salt and potassium

Eating lots of salt but not enough potassium is a recipe for heart problems.

New research looked at the health records of more than 12,000 people, and found the more sodium a person had in their diet, the higher their overall risk of pre-mature death.

Men, young adults and smokers were more likely to fit into this category.

But eating high levels of potassium can lower that risk of premature death.
