Ontario reports 132 new cases of COVID-19, no new deaths

Ontario is reporting 132 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says the bulk of the new cases are being reported in Peel, Toronto and Ottawa.

People between the ages of 20-59 make up more than 60 per cent of the new cases.

Ontario’s COVID-19 case count is at 42,686.

More than 90 per cent of those cases have been marked as resolved and 2,812 people have died from the virus.

According to numbers released by the province on Thursday, there are 1,249 active cases of COVID-19.

Hospitalizations, ICU admissions and vented patients have all remained stable.

The province completed over 26,000 tests.

Haldimand-Norfolk: 1 new case, 23 active cases

Brant: 1 new case, 5 active cases

Hamilton: 82 active cases **has not yet updated its data 

Niagara: 0 new cases, 11 active cases

Halton: 2 new cases, 27 active cases
