Halton police are investigating a pair of residential break-ins in Oakville that they believe are connected.
The first one happened on Feb. 14 around 6 a.m. at a home in northeast Oakville.
Police say three male suspects driving a dark coloured midsize SUV forced their way through the front door and stole a Mercedes G Wagon that was parked in the garage.
A week later, another break-in occurred, this time in the southeast Oakville area.
Four male suspects used a hammer to smash the glass front door of a residence. Once inside, police say the suspects were confronted by a resident of the home.
The suspects reportedly made demands for the keys to vehicles, specifically for a Mercedes G Wagon.

Police say the suspects were able to obtain several sets of keys, however security features in the vehicles stopped them from being stolen.
Investigators believe these two incidents could be connected because of the similarities between them.
The suspects in both break-ins are described as men in their 20s wearing dark clothing and black face coverings.
