Tiny shelters recommended as part of Hamilton’s encampment solution

Tiny shelters are back on the table for councillors to consider in Hamilton. This comes after weeks of public consultations to tackle the homelessness crisis.
Next Monday, city staff will present its amended encampment protocol.
The tiny shelter concept is the big addition and city staff are proposing the cabins to be placed along the strip of land in the north end.
The recommendation is pitching up to 25 temporary structures for two years. And according to the organization providing them, they are ready to deliver more if needed.
