Halton police charge Hamilton man after seizing $100K in drugs

A Hamilton man is facing drug trafficking-related charges after Halton police seized over $100,000 worth of illegal drugs.

The three-week investigation began when officers saw a man dealing drugs in the area of Queensway Dr. in Burlington. The man was later seen giving someone drugs at another location in the city.

Then on Wednesday, Halton police saw the man dealing drugs again in Hamilton. Officers arrested the man there and received search warrants for his home and vehicle.

Investigators were able to seize illicit drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamine, 60 bullets, $30,000 in cash and three digital scales, among other things.

Jitinderpal Bhamra, 20, is facing six separate charges, including four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine.

Bhamra was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
