Tips for a smooth family road trip

Many families are taking road trips or are visiting family over the upcoming holiday break.
Taylor Kaye shares her tips and hacks to make it a smooth and safe trip.
Tip 1
Keep the kids entertained by giving them a tablet or using Carplay.
Tip 2
Make sure kids have enough snacks and games to keep them busy. Taylor suggests filling up a plastic container with lots of different snacks and that way the container stays shut and they can open it when they want one.
Also take cookie sheets on the road for the kids to eat off of or to doodle on.
Another thing is to take a plastic cereal container it and put a garbage bag in it, so all your garbage stays sealed.
Tip 3
Use soft luggage instead of a hard suitcase. It is easier to pack in the back of a car.
Also, if you are going away on a winter trip pack snow pants and stuffed animals in a pillow case. That way it doesn’t take up room in the suitcase and can double as a pillow for the drive.
Tip 4
If you are in the market for a new ride, Taylor suggests looking online. A lot of dealerships are offering virtual tours of cars, so you can see all the bells and whistles without even having to leave your house.
