Adopt this friendly husky from Lincoln County Humane Society

Cassandra Gelzynsky from the Lincoln County Humane Society (LCHS) joins Annette Hamm on Morning Live with two-year-old Coraline who is looking for her “furever” home.

Gelzynsky said she is unaware of this friendly husky’s backstory because she came to the LCHS as a stray.

“She will need a little bit of training but she can already sit and she’s very calm when she’s with someone she trusts.”

On average, huskies need between two and three hours of exercise per day. This means that Coraline will need an active owner who is able to take her on multiple walks throughout the day.

If you work outside of the home, Gelzynsky recommends bringing Coraline to a doggy daycare or asking a friend to take her on a walk.

Gelzynsky also said that Coraline cooperates well with other dogs but should not be in the same home as a cat or child under 10 because she is a bit jumpy.

“If you do have another dog in the home, you could always set up a meet-and-greet for your existing dog to meet Coraline,” Gelzynsky said.

To meet or adopt Coraline, call the shelter at 905-682-0767 or send an email to myconnect@lchs.ca.

The LCHS is currently open for appointments only. But starting Dec. 1, they will be fully open to the public.
