No one wants to fall ill during the holiday season, but inevitably it is cold and flu season, so if you need help, Hauser’s Pharmacy and Home Healthcare in Hamilton has it all.
Hauser’s has been a staple for over 40 years, providing comprehensive health care to their customers which goes above and beyond just equipment and drugs, and focuses on the full care of an individual. They were one of the first pharmacies in Ontario to bring computers in and automate those processes, and also one of the first pharmacies to remove tobacco from their store shelves because of their beliefs and practices.
Over the past year the pharmacy has seen also been hit with a medication shortage, but they are able to compound medication, so if you don’t see it on the shelves they could possibly make it for you. And if they can’t make it, at they can at least recommend other options as trained pharmacists that can help.
Plenty has changed in pharmacies over the years, and as of January 1st pharmacists will have the ability to prescribe for 13 different minor ailment conditions, including fungal infections and uncomplicated UTI’s just to name a couple. While this isn’t new to Canada, it is new to Ontario and the pharmacists at Hauser’s Pharmacy are happy to be able to provide this service to help their customers more.
If you have mobility issues Hauser’s Pharmacy does rentals, lifts and some home modification. A component of what they do is one of the largest home healthcare and mobility providers in Niagara, Hamilton, Brantford, Haldimand, Norfolk and into Burlington as well.
Owner Phil Hauser wants the pharmacy to feel like a family first and he takes pride in treating everyone who walks through the doors and they do free deliveries to all of their customers as well. Phil says if you are willing to come to them, then they are willing to go to you.
