Hail! Bright Cecilia

Experience the glorious voices of the Bach Elgar Choir in Purcell’s tribute to St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music, as well as Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s magnificent and compelling Te Deum.

The Bach Elgar Choir welcomes back to its stage the early music vocal quartet Capella Intima, specialists in seventeenth century repertoire. Each of the singers of Capella Intima is a distinguished vocal artist: Sheila Dietrich, soprano, Jennifer Ens Modolo, mezzo-soprano, David Roth, baritone, and Hamilton tenor Bud Roach, who is also the founder and artistic director of Capella Intima.

Our collaboration offers a beautiful combination: the vocal power of the Bach Elgar Choir meeting the specialized artistry of Capella Intima. Together, through a mix of chorus, solo voices, duets and a rich tapestry of instrumental accompaniment, we visit the dawn of the Age of Enlightenment, the world of Purcell and Charpentier.

Experience the pinnacle of Baroque vocal excellence. Secure your seats today and witness the voices that bring Bright Cecilia to life!
