During his acceptance speech, mayor-elect Keanin Loomis vowed one of his first priorities will be supporting Hamilton’s steelworkers.

The pledge comes as Stelco lays off 350 workers at its plant in Hamilton, and as more than 1,200 National Steel Car workers in the city remain on a prolonged strike.

CHCH News anchor Matt Ingram was joined live in studio with the new mayor-elect of Hamilton, Keanin Loomis.
