St. Catharines assault leaves man seriously injured, suspect charged

Niagara police say they arrested and charged a woman following an alleged assault in St. Catharines that left a man with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

On Saturday at around 8:53 p.m., officers say they responded to St. Paul Street for an assault call for service.

Investigators say the victim is a 25-year-old man.

Police say they have charged a 41-year-old woman with assault causing bodily harm. She was held for bail.

Detectives say this is an open investigation and they are looking for an outstanding male.
