The Northwest Territories government says it is officially ending seasonal time changes and is instead sticking to a new permanent time standard known as Northwest Territories time.
In most parts of Canada, clocks go back an hour on Nov. 1, marking the end of daylight saving time.
British Columbia moved to a permanent year-round daylight saving time on March 8, called Pacific Time, by moving their clocks back one hour.
Manitoba is also moving to a permanent daylight saving time in November, and Saskatchewan mostly stays on Standard Time year-round.
