Two Niagara Falls men wanted in suspected targeted homicide in city

Two Niagara Falls men are wanted in what is believed to be a targeted homicide in the city.

Police officers were called to a business on Lundy’s Lane shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 for a report of an assault.

Investigating officers found a man without vital signs. After life-saving efforts by Niagara emergency services he was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

He died on Sept. 21 and has been identified as 37-year-old Matthew McAra.

Investigations determined that McAra was assaulted by two suspects who fled the area. The pair were identified, and a search started with help from the police canine unit.

Homicide investigators are now looking for Brandon Fitzgerald, 31, and Alexander Piccirillo, 46.

Both are wanted for second-degree murder.

Detectives are asking residents and businesses in the area of Lundy’s Lane and Hanan Avenue to review any video surveillance footage.
