CHCH News anchor Matt Ingram was joined by Lisa Raitt, former federal Conservative cabinet minister and Milton MP, to speak on the U.S. tariff deadline approaching as Canada-U.S. trade talks continue.

During their conversation, Raitt said the U.S. may be content with the current path, but Prime Minister Mark Carney must still ensure sectoral tariffs allow Canadian industry to thrive while keeping Premier Doug Ford on board.

She adds that putting U.S. alcohol back on shelves is the entry piece to ensure there are not Section 338 tariffs attached to Canadian goods.
