Hamilton police are investigating after reports of a shooting in the area of Gage Park Friday morning after a man was sent to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers learned on Saturday that a man had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot injury the day before.
They say the man received medical treatment and has since been released from hospital.
Detectives are investigating the exact location and circumstances of the shooting, and are asking for anyone who was in or near Gage Park on Friday at around 7 a.m. to come forward.
Investigators are also asking for anyone with dash camera video, residential security footage or cellphone video recorded in the area from around that time.
